createtodo is a task manager that sits between a notes app and a full project tracker — more structure than a text file, far less ceremony than Linear or Jira. It is built for individuals and small teams who want to capture work, organize it just enough, and get back to doing it.

Two ideas shape every decision. The first is speed: the app is local-first, so it opens instantly, works offline, and syncs in real time when you are connected. The second is restraint: features earn their place by removing friction, not by adding options.

createtodo also treats AI agents as first-class users. An MCP server, a JSON-first CLI, and an installable skill let coding agents file, organize, and close todos in the same workspace you see in the app. Read more on the for agents page.
