Board

Board

Lay a list or view out as columns of cards — one column per group — and move todos by dragging between them.

Any list or view can be shown as a board instead of a list. Press V, or choose Layout → Board from the Display menu. The choice is stored per view, so a board stays a board when you come back — and on a saved view it is a draft change until you save.

Columns

The board’s columns are the list’s groups: whatever Group by is set to — status, priority, assignee, label or due date — becomes a column, and a list grouped by nothing falls back to status. Each column header carries the group’s symbol, its name, a count and a + that creates a todo in that column; every column also ends with a + under its last card, shown on hover and always on a touch screen.

Drag a column by its header to reorder the columns; the order is remembered per view. Reset order in the Group by menu puts it back.

Cards

A card is the todo’s identifier, its title, and one row of properties in the same order as the todo page: status, priority, assignee, labels, due date, plus the blocked and agent markers. A card does not repeat the property its column already says — on a status board there is no status icon on the cards.

Drop a card in another column and the grouped property changes: moving a card from Todo to In Progress starts it, moving it under a member assigns it. Within a column cards keep their manual order where the sort allows it. Cards open the todo on click.

Subtodos

By default every subtodo is its own card, carrying its parent’s identifier. Show subtodos → Hidden in the Display menu keeps only the parent cards.

Width

A board always takes the full width of the window; switching back to the list layout returns to whatever full width setting you had.
