Command palette

Press ⌘ K anywhere. The command palette is the app’s front door: start typing to search todos and lists, or run a command directly.

Searching

Type part of a todo’s title or its identifier (like MZ-123) to jump straight to it. Lists match by name, so switching context is ⌘K, a few letters, Enter.

The best match sits alone at the top as the Top result, so Enter takes you there without arrowing — an exact identifier always wins that slot, and a command beats a todo that merely mentions the same word. Everything else stays grouped below it: todos, lists, navigation, actions.

Nothing typed yet? The palette suggests the commands you ran most recently, then the actions for what is on screen.

Commands

Beyond navigation, the palette runs actions — creating todos and lists, reaching views like the archive or the timeline, and, on a todo’s page, copying its ID or link, creating a subtodo and deleting it. Commands that also have a keyboard shortcut show it on the row, so the palette teaches the faster route each time you use it.

Whatever you type can also become a new todo or list in one step — the two offers sit at the bottom of every search.

Inside the palette

• ↑/↓ move through results
• Enter selects
• → opens a row’s actions — on a list, that is edit, archive and delete
• Esc steps back out of a row’s actions, or closes the palette
