Activity & timeline
Every change is recorded — per todo and per list — with who made it, and which agent did it on their behalf.
createtodo keeps a record of what changed, when, and by whom. It lives in two places.
A todo’s activity
The bottom of every todo page is its activity: creation, edits, status, priority, assignee, label, due date and repeat-rule changes, questionnaires asked and answered, and the comment thread, in one chronological list. Runs of small edits by the same person collapse into one row. The hover preview and the breadcrumb card carry the short version — when the todo was created, last edited, and done or canceled.
A list’s timeline
Press G then M — or pick Timeline from the list’s ⋯ menu — for the list’s timeline: the same events across every todo in the list, newest first, with a Show older step at the bottom. Esc returns to the list. Archived todos are marked as such.
Agents are named
A change made through an API key is attributed to the member who owns the
key and to the agent session that made it: a timeline row or comment reads
AI · <session> · via <member>, where the session is the agent’s own name (a Claude Code
session name, for example) or, failing that, the key’s name. A human change is attributed to
the member alone, so the two never blur — and a row that says “AI” is server-stamped, never
something a client can claim for itself.
A todo an agent is actively working on also shows a lease chip beside its assignee — see the CLI.
Cascades
Completing a todo whose subtodos are still open asks what to do with each one — complete it or cancel it — and lands the whole cascade as one change, so one ⌘ Z brings it all back.
